The Unclassical Musician

Apr 6, 2021

Special thanks to Keith Alcius (tuba) for submitting this question for the Q&A episode. I told you we'd do full episodes for the big ones!

I’m going to tell you a bit about how I got started with private teaching in Houston, how it's going at this point 1 year into the pandemic, and some of my personal policies I’ve used to build a sought-after lesson experience in my area. I started off with literally a handful of kids and went from bare minimum to seeing nearly 100 flutes per week in less than 2 years.

If you are interested in learning ways to use Instagram as a recruiting tool to build your own private studio and make more $$$ make sure to sign up for our exclusive and FREE class with Nicole Riccardo on Friday April 9 at 11 CDT! Replay link will be available after for those who can't attend at the specific time, but only if you are registered! Register for the class here!

In this episode:

  • Inheriting/being gifted students
  • It's all about who ya know
  • How much work works for you

If you got a lot out of this episode, be sure to tune in next week for a convo with studio-building guru Katherine Emeneth!
